Professor Filipe Silva received the Electrical and Computer Engineering M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), University of Lisbon, Portugal, in 2005 and 2023, respectively. In 2007, he co-founded PLUX, a biomedical engineering company where he assumed the role of Chief Technology Officer. Since 2023, he has been with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at IST, University of Lisbon as an Invited Professor. He has more than 20 year’s experience in software development for the electrical distribution systems industry. His research interests are focused on developing quantum computing approaches to network optimization problems.
菲利普•席尔瓦教授于2005年和2023年分别获得葡萄牙里斯本大学高等理工学院(IST)的电气与计算机工程硕士和博士学位。2007年,他共同创立了生物医学工程公司PLUX,并担任首席技术官。自2023年起,他一直在里斯本大学IST的电气与计算机工程系担任客座教授。他在电力分配系统行业的软件开发方面拥有超过20年的经验。他的研究兴趣主要集中在开发用于网络优化问题的量子计算方法。
报告摘要:Quantum Annealing is a paradigm of Quantum Computing specialized in solving discrete optimization problems. This method holds the promise to provide better and/or faster solutions to these problems when compared to the results obtained from classical computers. In this talk I will give an introduction to Quantum Annealing as a general method for solving quadratic unconstrained binary optimization (QUBO) problems. I will then present the novel QUBO formulation we proposed for the minimum loss problem in electrical distribution networks.
量子退火是一种专门用于解决离散优化问题的量子计算范式。与经典计算机获得的结果相比,这种方法有望为这些问题提供更好和/或更快的解决方案。在本次演讲中,我将介绍量子退火作为解决二次无约束二进制优化(QUBO)问题的一般方法。然后,我将介绍我们为电力分配网络中的最小损耗问题提出的新颖QUBO公式。
