专家简介:Francois M. Peeters是比利时皇家科学院院士、欧洲科学院院士、中国科学院外国专家特聘研究员、深圳市网联光仪科技有限公司院士工作站院士,是凝聚态理论物理领域的国际知名专家。在Nature(6),Nature Nano. (3), Nature Phys. (2), Nature Comm. (10), Nano Lett. (16), ACS Nano (6), Phys. Rev. Lett. (58)等学术杂志发表SCI论文近1550篇。168篇论文引用超过100次,22篇超过300次,总引用超过72,000次,H-index为121(Google Scholar),于2022年被Stanford大学列为“World’s Top 2% Scientists”.
报告简介(Report Introduction):
Wave propagation in a random medium is a phenomenon common to many areas of physics. In both optics and quantum mechanics, surprising coherent effects are observed in a regime in which disorder was thought to be sufficiently strong to eliminate a priori all interference effects. Mesoscopic phenomena are typically found when the wavelength of light is comparable to the size of the structures the light is propagating through. Several of those effects will be discussed and the relation with mesoscopic electron physics will be pointed out.
