报告摘要:Time-frequency analysis techniques are able to analyze how the instantaneous frequency of a signal varies with time and play important roles in time-variant signal processing. Recently, with the development of fractional Fourier transforms, compressive sensing, and time-frequency reassignment, several new theories and applications about time-frequency analysis appeared in the open literature. In this talk, we describe the development and challenge of time-frequency analysis techniques and discuss the possible ways to apply them in adaptive signal processing.

 

专家简介:Jian-Jiun Ding was born in 1973 in Taiwan. He received the B.S. degree in 1995, the M.S. degree in 1997, and the Ph.D. degree in 2001, all in electrical engineering from the NTU, Taipei, Taiwan. During 2001 to 2006, he was a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Electrical Engineering (EE) of NTU. In 2006, he become an assistant professor in the Department of EE and the Graduate Institute of Communication Engineering (GICE), NTU. In 2012, he was promoted to an associate professor. In 2017, he was promoted to a professor.

        He is currently a professor with the Department of EE and the GICE, NTU. He is also a senior member in IEEE. His current research areas include time-frequency analysis, fractional Fourier transforms, linear canonical transforms, wavelet transforms, image processing, image compression, orthogonal polynomials, fast algorithms, integer transforms, pattern recognition, face recognition, machine learning, filter design, etc.
