报告摘要:West Nile Virus (WNV) has now spread globally and rapidly, and it is essential to develop preventive measures to attempt to halt the spread of WNV. In this talk, I initially proposed a model of West Nile Virus (WNV) including threshold control policies concerning the culling of mosquitoes and birds under different conditions. In particular, two thresholds are introduced to estimate whether and which control strategy should be implemented. I exhibited the global dynamics of the Filippov system including slilding mode dynamics. Then I extended the WNV transmission model to include seasonality and examined the global dynamics. Numerical simulations illustrated how the periodic forcing and culling strategy affect the pattern and amplitude of the novel periodic solution. Finally, I got concluding remarks on this modelling approach and results on controlling of WNV transmission.

 肖燕妮,西安交通大学数学与统计学院副院长、数学与生命科学交叉研究中心主任、博士生导师,主要从事数据和问题驱动的传染病动力学的研究。参与完成了国家“十一五”、“十二五”和“十三五”科技重大专项艾滋病领域的建模研究。主持国家自然科学基金7项,其中重点项目1项、重点国际合作1项。2017年至今任中国生物数学专业委员会副主任,2020年起任国务院第八届学科评议组成员(数学).
