报告人简介：
袁平之教授：华南师范大学教授、博士生导师，华南师大学位委员会委员。2016年入选“广东特支计划”百千万工程领军人才。袁平之教授于1985年师从我国著名数学家柯召院士和孙奇教授学习数论，1997年在四川大学获得理学博士学位。袁平之教授目前已经主持多项国家面上基金项目，发表学术论文100多篇，得到了不定逼近与不定方程、零和问题和非唯一分解理论、有限域上置换多项式和张量的本原指数等方面的一些重要结果。
报告摘要：
The determination of the integral points on elliptic curves is a basic and important problem in number theory and arithmetic algebraic geometry. In this talk, we will talk about the method of counting the number of the integral points on elliptic curves. In particular, combining some properties of quadratic and quartic Diophantine equations with elementary arguments, we will give some sharp upper bound for the number of integral points on some special elliptic curves.
