摘要：
We report some recent results on Martin type representation formulas for ancient solutions of the heat equation and dimension estimates of the space of these solutions under some growth assumptions. We will also present a new observation on the time analyticity of some solutions of the heat equation and Navier-Stokes equations under natural growth conditions. One application is a if and only if solvability condition of the backward heat equation, i.e. under what condition can one turn back the clock in a diffusion process. Part of the results are joint work with Fanghua Lin and Hongjie Dong.
报告人简介：
张旗，美国加州大学河滨分校终身教授。1996年于美国普渡大学获得博士学位，先后任职于美国孟菲斯大学，美国密苏里大学，美国加州大学。目前主要研究方向是带有奇性的抛物方程和抛物系统、Navier-Stokes方程、热核的估计、Ricci流等。成果发表于CPAM，CMP，ARMA，Adv. Math.等顶尖国际数学期刊。
