报告人简介:

Dr. Andreu Salcedo Bosch is a Research Fellow at the Italian National Research Council - Institute of Methodologies for Environmental Analysis (CNR-IMAA). Specialized in remote sensing signal processing, he earned his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. (cum laude) from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). His research focuses on lidar technology for wind remote sensing applied to wind energy, and machine learning methods for cooperative remote sensing of the atmosphere. He has taught Signal Theory subjects and been supervisor of undergraduate theses at UPC, where he will join as an Associate Professor in 2025. His work integrates signal processing and machine learning with remote sensing to advance atmospheric monitoring and renewable energy solutions.

报告简介:

Remote sensing of the atmosphere is widely used by the wind energy industry to both assess future wind farms deployment sites as well as to improve their operation. With the rising interest in offshore wind energy, remote sensing of the atmosphere has become essential in offshore deep-sea sites in order to reduce deployment and operation costs. Particularly, floating LiDARs have become the de-facto instrument for offshore wind resource assessment due to its flexibility and capabilities to measure the mean wind with equivalent accuracy as meteorological met-masts in a cost-effective manner. Nevertheless, lidars measure an averaged version of the wind vector, and the wave motion creates a Doppler effect on the Lidar measurements which cause errors on the instantaneous wind vector measurements. Although they are averaged on the mean wind measurement products, these errors rise in second order products such as the turbulence intensity. These errors will be discussed and methods for their compensation will be presented.
