摘要（Abstract）：The Minkowski problem asks the existence of closed convex hyper-surfaces with prescribed Gauss curvatures. It is one of the most classical problems in geometry. There are several related problems and extensions such as the Aleksandrov problem, the Christoffel problem, the dual Minkowski problem. In this talk, I will report some new developments on Minkowski type problems obtained with my collaborators, which include a new approach to the Christoffel problem and the existence of solutions to the Minkowski problem in the sphere.
报告人简介：汪徐家，澳大利亚国立大学教授，2009年当选澳大利亚科学院院士。汪徐家教授主要从事非线性椭圆和抛物方程理论及其在几何、物理中的应用，在陈省身的仿射Bernstein问题猜想、Monge的原始最优传输问题、Monge-Ampere方程正则性、Hessian测度理论和平均曲率流的奇性刻画等问题中做出了一系列突破性的工作。曾在2002年国际数学家大会上做45分钟报告，同年获澳大利亚数学会奖章，2007年获第四届华人数学家大会晨兴数学金奖，2013年获得澳大利亚Laureate Fellowship。
