报告人简介：
Byung-Ju Sohn教授，国立首尔大学（Seoul National University）地球与环境科学学院院长。现担任国际气象学与大气科学协会（IAMAS）国际辐射委员会（IRC）主席、韩国遥感学会理事、韩国气象学会主席等。曾获韩国杰出贡献总统奖章。目前的研究包括针对COMS（韩国对地静止卫星）的算法开发，水蒸气-云辐射预算问题的MSG应用程序，卫星反演的水文数据进行的水蒸气传输以及全球降水量测量（GPM）相关的研究。在Journal of Atmospheric Sciences, Journal of Climate, Journal of Applied Meteorology, and Bulletin of American Meteorological Society, Journal of Geophysical Research等国际知名期刊发表学术论文130余篇。
