Brief introduction:
The purpose of the presentation is to explain a few points about the phonology and phonetics of Received Pronunciation and General American English and to give many examples of pronunciation in the form of many very short excerpts taken from literature.
I will examine phonemes such as consonants, monophthongs, and diphthongs and describe sentence stress, weak forms, and various forms of connected speech.
